- Adami Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut Bosco di Gica
We love this wine. Prosecco is fresh and fruity, and definitely a people pleaser! A straw yellow color. Creamy texture, with delicate and long-lasting bubbles! On the nose, it is rich, with excellent fruit, releasing scents of yellow apple and peach, with notes of wisteria and acacia blossom. Wonderful balance and elegance complement a pleasurably crisp spiciness. The palate holds a delicious vein of acidity, displaying a crisp, savoury mouthfeel. Generous, lingering flavours nicely mirror the nose and achieve perfect balance.
Antonio Galloni’s Vinous agrees with a 91 pt. score. “Adami’s NV Prosecco Superiore Bosco di Gica emerges from the glass with mineral-infused white fruit, smoke and crushed rocks in an intense, serious style of Prosecco I find appealing”
- Mumm Napa Brut Prestige
A serious wine made in the champagne method, this is a perfect wine for food or just a glass for toasting. A complex assemblage of primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Brut Prestige opens with gorgeous layered white blossom aromas, followed by creamy vanilla, citrus, stone fruit and melon. With elegant acidity and crisp structure, this medium-bodied sparkling wine displays an excellent mousse and a rich, lingering finish. Refreshing acidity and fruit character makes Brut Prestige an excellent food wine.#54 out of 100 for 2014, Wine Spectator loves this wine! 91 pts. “Packs in a lot of complexity for the price, offering aromas of apple, fresh ginger and rubber. - Montsarra Cava Brut
Cava is Champagne method sparkling wine made from native spanish grapes, This is one of our favorites! A pale, sparkling wine with lasting bubbles and a crisp finish. The bouquet is fruity and vigorous. Extremely refreshing: an ideal aperitif! This sprightly cava is made with a blend of three grape varieties – Macabeo, Xarello, and Parellada – all carefully selected from the Montsarra vineyard in the Penedes region of Spain.Wine & Spirits Magazine loved this wine too! 90 Pts – “Bosky apple scents and flavors of clotted cream imply richness, but the wine cuts that with Spanish severity, finishing on the flavor of Marcona almonds, briny and tight.”
- Lucien Albrecht Cremant d’Alsace Brut
French Sparkling wines not made in Champagne are called Cremants. This is one of our favorites! It has a very french finesse, and ease about it. Lucien Albrecht, Jean’s father, pioneered Crémant production in 1971 and helped gain an Appellation Contrôlêe for the wine and for Alsace. The wines vinified by the classic Champagne Method from 100% free run juice, are the best sparkling wines in France outside of Champagne itself. Recently Maison Lucien Albrecht was awarded four gold medals at a comprehensive National I.N.A.O. tasting of all sparkling wines in France, giving the firm more gold medals than any other Crémant producer in France.Wine Enthusiast loved it too 90 Pts. “Albrecht obviously has a skill in sparkling wines, because this, like its partner rose, is skillfully made, full of fruit and richness.”
- Pere Ventura Cava Tresor Rose
We wanted to make sure that we had at least 1 Rose sparkling wine on here and for the under 20 dollar price, we all thought this over delivered! Tresor Brut Rose is an intense and deep pink with persistent, fine bubbles. The wine has clean and sophisticated aromas of red fruits with a slight note of rose petal. On the palate, fresh and elegant flavors of strawberry, raspberry and cherries with a long lasting finish.Wine and Spirits Magazine agrees with 92 Pts “ “A light pink trepat, this is herbal and foresty in its red fruit flavors. As it opens with air, the finish takes on a mineral complexity that’s compelling against the cherry marmalade fruit. Substantial enough for morçilla with white beans, or other meaty tapas.”
